The cost of waiting has never been higher

The cost of waiting has never been higher

Over the last few years I’ve spent a lot of time analysing myself. One thing stands out: I’m restless (like really restless!)

When something needs doing, I do it. Idea? Execute. Proposal? Sent. Follow-up? Done. Difficult conversation? Have it.

It’s a strength because I move fast, make mistakes fast, and learn fast. It’s a weakness because I sometimes miss things, come across impatient, even pushy.

But it all comes from the same place: I believe deeply in the work I’m doing, and I feel time moving quickly. There’s a fear of not achieving everything I know I’m capable of.

And here’s the uncomfortable truth…

Even with that urgency, I’m still not moving fast enough.

AI is accelerating at a pace none of us fully understand. The world isn’t slowing down. The market isn’t slowing down. Your competitors aren’t slowing down.

You don’t have six months to “ramp up”. You don’t have two weeks to “think about it”. You don’t have the luxury of taking days to send a proposal or follow up. You don’t have time to operate without a clear ICP, a mapped market, or a consistent outbound rhythm.

If you’re slow today, you’re invisible tomorrow.

Because right now, the reps and founders who aren’t as talented as you are compensating with AI. They’re moving faster. Doing more. Learning quicker. Iterating daily. And they’ll beat you on output long before they beat you on skill.

So ask yourself:

Why am I waiting? Why am I not activating my network? Why am I not prospecting consistently? Why don’t I know my market cold? Why haven’t I built my personal brand? Why haven’t I messaged that prospect?

What exactly am I waiting for?

The cost of waiting has never been higher. And the people who win over the next decade are the ones who treat time like the scarce resource it is.

So the big question is, what are you waiting for?
